Unlike the tech-savvy kids of recent times, a couple of years back, kids used to play in the neighborhood whenever they could manage time. Whatever the reasons are- kids nowadays mostly occupied with technology and computer-based entertainment. Most of the kids are more likely to go solo and have fun to play tech games, unlike the 90’s kids.
However, there are still a number of conscious parents who want their toddlers and preschoolers to go to the neighborhood and have fun to play non-tech games with the other kids, right?
One thing that I have discussed on this blog was scooter ride for kids. So I want to introduce a few different types this time.

1. Balance Bike Riding
Riding a balance bike is one of the most adventurous and advantageous games for your toddlers and preschoolers. It is an outdoor activity and can be practiced alone, with family members or with friends. Biking is an excellent form of exercise too. If your kids ride the bike with their friends, they will learn to cooperate, and their social norms and behavior will get enhanced.
2. Playing Soccer
Soccer is indeed one of the most favorite games to the people all over the world. It can be an outstanding outdoor fun activity for the kids as well. It develops their skills and intensifies physical growth as well. To play soccer kids just need a soccer ball. Then they are to form two groups and start playing with it in no time.
3. Hide and Sick
Hiding and finding are very attractive to the kids. It is a classic game which is very easy to play. They find interest in finding their missing friends. Most parents love to play this game with their children. One kid starts counting to 20, 50 or 100 and by this time the others hide. Then it’s time to find them.
Place some chairs in a round shape in your yard. Now play the music of your child’s interest and after some time, pause the music. The person who fails to sit on the chairs will be eliminated. 5. Potato Sack Race
Potato sack race is one of the games that kids find very much interesting. You need enough space and sacks for each child and remember the sack must reach their waist. Now, they need to jump to the finishing line.
Parents hold a long stick or bamboo about 4 feet above the ground, and kids go under it. If anybody touches the stick, he or she is declared out. Parents lower the stick after everyone has gone under the stick once. This process continues until remains untouched by the stick.
7. Jump Rope
Parents or elderly persons, even the playmates can hold a long rope and starts moving it while the toddlers will jump over it. It is a great fun jumping over a rope with friends and count who can jump the most. One can also play jump rope alone as well.
8. Freeze Dance
It is played with some friends. Children play and tag each other. When one kid tags the other, he or she needs to freeze where he or she is. Another kid tags again to unfreeze his or her friend. 9. Ice Skating
Ice skating may seem a bit dangerous, but you can take precaution to avoid the danger easily. Ice skating is very interesting both for toddlers and parents.
Baseball playing is very popular among the children. Children aged four can easily learn to play T-ball. Then they can get used to playing baseball. It’s a bat-ball game played between two teams. It’s all about scoring more runs to win.
As mentioned earlier, kids used to play all day long without any modern technology a couple of years back. Today’s technology-based fun and entertainment have snatched this childhood away. Technology has replaced the outdoor games with computer games that made life dull and boring.
Besides, with the advancement of technology in every sphere of our day to day life people around us including the kids are being self-centered.
